Brand USA, the destination marketing organization for the United States, hosted the opening celebration for the U.S. – India Travel and Tourism Partnership Year in Delhi.
Christopher L. Thompson, President and CEO of Brand USA, along with a delegation, graced the occasion, which was attended by more than 200 leading tourism and media executives and government officials from India and the United States. Some of the tourism entities representing the U.S. travel industry included Caesar’s Entertainment, Grand Canyon Helicopters, The Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau (TX), the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the National Tour Association, NYC & Company, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Travel Oregon, United Airlines and Visit Orlando, among others.
Speakers at the event included the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in India, Director of the National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) and the Joint Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Tourism besides Mr Christopher Thompson. The event was anchored by veteran television personality and India’s leading international live host – Ms. Rini Simon Khanna.
