MYANMAR – Kubota Myanmar Makes further inroads with new office

Mileage Myanmar was recently engaged by Kubota Corporation to publcise the opening of its office in Yangon. Thirty eight broadcast, print and online media attended the opening ceremony event. Coverage was extensive. All in all. there were 45 clippings.

KUBOTA Myanmar Co., Ltd. (KMCL) was established to support the growth in agriculture business in Myanmar. The establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has fuelled further growth of the agricultural business. As more farmers are expected to use modern farm machineries, Kubota has geared itself to meet their needs by opening the KUBOTA Myanmar Co. Ltd. this year.

Located in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone, Yangon, KMCL covers more than 10,000 sqm. and has a registered capital of over US$ 23.8 Million. The company’s shareholders are KUBOTA Corporation, Japan (80%) and SIAM KUBOTA Corporation, Thailand (20%). The company sells tractors, combine harvesters, rice-transplanters, power tillers, diesel engines and construction machineries. The company also provides after sales service under the Myanmar Commercial Law.

Kubota Corporation, established in 1890, is a tractor and heavy equipment manufacturer based in Osaka, Japan. One of its notable contributions was the construction of the pillars for the Solar Ark in Japan, the world’s most stunning solar building that generates 500,000 kWh of energy a year.
