Purple Sage Teases The Palate with a Sampler of Novel Gastronomic Delights

On 14 November 2019, Purple Sage upped the ante once again by inviting two well known chefs — Justin Quek and Devagi Sanmugam — to join its panel of celebrity chefs. Well known for his Franco-Asian cuisine, Chef Justin Quek was the first Singaporean to be appointed the personal chef of the French Embassy, and was also a recipient of the Chef of the Year Award by the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence. Chef Devagi Sanmugam, with over 36 years in the culinary scene, is an accomplished chef who has published 22 cookbooks. Together with Purple Sage’s newly-appointed Executive Chef Immanuel Tee, they presented four canapes, one modern Asian dish, and a dessert during a tasting session for the media.

Among the creations served at the food tasting session were Black Miso Foie Gras (Daikon “Noodle”, Dashi Broth, Furikake, Pickled Shimeji Mushroom), “Fish & Chips” (Seaweed and Potato Brick Pastry, Shaved Salmon, Smoked Dill Crème, Ikura), and “Edible Charcoal” (Pulled Short Rib Beef Rillette, Smoked Ash, Romesco Puree, Pickled Mushroom). These were all novel gastronomic concepts that retained notable authentic value, impressing the guests with a unique culinary experience.

Purple Sage has been creating lasting impressions as a leading boutique caterer in Singapore since 2002. It has remained true to its aspiration and lives its mission to continuously unfurl edible stories for any occasion, all year round. Over the years, Purple Sage has constantly raised the bar in its industry with innovative concepts and ideas, and have won many prestigious awards such as ‘Caterer of the Year’ at the World Gourmet Summit and ‘Established Brands’ in the Singapore Prestige Brand Award.

Mileage Communications is proud to have supported Purple Sage’s evening of gastronomic indulgence.
