Mileage Communications Group Holds First-ever Virtual Meeting

Mileage Communications Group holds first-ever Virtual Meeting

Since its founding in 1992, the Mileage Communications Group has expanded its reach to 10 countries across Asia-Pacific. Leaders of the various offices have accumulated a wealth of experience in numerous sectors, and the Group has diversified its service offerings to take on large projects within the region.

The Group’s Executive Team typically meets in-person to share best practices and business developments. To take stock of recent country-specific, regional, and global developments, heads of six offices conveyed an intent to raise particular issues for discussion. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a physical meeting at the Group Headquarters in Singapore was not possible. The Mileage Communications Group thus decided to hold its first-ever virtual meeting via Zoom on Thursday, 25 June 2020.

As most of the offices were working remotely, the rise of on-demand, instant communications such as video conferencing have improved business productivity. Virtual meetings allow the Group to maintain and build quality relationships internally, facilitating cost and time-saving benefits without requiring arduous travel for face-to-face communication.

It was a successful meeting where the Executive Team was able to discuss ways to seize new opportunities. As various jurisdictions were still under lockdown measures, heads of the offices also shared their business continuity plans, elaborating on the steps taken to evolve their business and take on new, interesting projects.

At the end of the virtual meeting, heads of the various offices — Wang Ling (China), Sunil Puri (India), Dato’ Nancy Yeoh (Malaysia), John Jun (Myanmar), Vannee Leelavechbutr (Thailand), as well as Group Chairman Yap Boh Tiong and Patsy Phay (Singapore Headquarters) — also took a photo to commemorate the Group’s first-ever meeting via Zoom.
